Space to settle

A pause before
you begin.

Leave a little space between arriving and doing anything at all. Set down your things. Ask for a warmer room. Choose silence, or a little music.

The small choices matter. You can make them your own.

Warmth. Texture. Time.

The quieter
details.

Soft cotton. A warm towel. The familiar weight of a smooth stone. Simple comforts that leave room for you to settle in.

The still life is yours to explore. Turn it gently and take a closer look.

Your first visit

What happens, in order — and where you're in charge.

  1. A short conversation

Before you lie down, tell the therapist what you'd like: the kind of pressure, areas to spend time on, and anywhere you'd rather they skip. You don't need to explain why.

  2. Privacy while you settle

The therapist steps out while you undress to the level you're comfortable with and get under the sheet. They knock before coming back in.

  3. During the session

Speak up whenever something isn't right — pressure, room temperature, music, the position of a pillow. Saying "lighter", "firmer" or "skip that" is normal and expected.

  4. Pause or stop any time

You can ask to pause, or to end the session early, at any point. Nobody will ask you to justify it.

  5. Afterwards

Take your time getting up. Water is on the side table, and the room is yours until you're dressed.

The room

Your note

Medium pressure. Silence, please, and little talking.

Good to know

Privacy & draping

You're covered by a sheet throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. You can stay as dressed as you like; the session adapts.

The door stays closed during the session and the therapist knocks before entering.

Comfort in the room
  • The table is heated; ask for it warmer or cooler.
  • Extra pillows and a bolster for under the knees are on hand.
  • A face cradle or a side-lying position are both fine — ask for whichever suits you.
  • Unscented oil is always available.

Example location: a second-floor studio in the fictional Quarry Hill neighborhood, with an elevator and street parking nearby. No real address is used in this concept.

Changing plans example policy

Example policy: let the studio know at least 12 hours ahead to move or cancel a visit. Arriving late shortens the session so the next guest isn't kept waiting.

In a real studio this is where you'd confirm. In this portfolio concept, closing the preview is the end of the flow.
